Hydrogen is commonly seen as the fuel of the future. When used in a fuel cell it generates electricity in a very efficient way. The only exhaust gas is water vapour. Fuel cells can be applied in mobile as well as in stationary applications.

Fuel Cells have been used already in the sixties in the Apollo rockets that went to the moon. Below are some illustrations of fuel cell stacks.

Examples of mobile applications are:

  • Passenger cars
  • Buses
  • Scooters
  • Bicycles
  • Special duty vehicles

Examples of mobile applications are:

  • Power plants
  • Domestic fuel cell heating appliances
  • Back up power systems
